The primary purpose of our program is to provide services that will assist you in the prevention of musculoskeletal, cervical, and low back injuries, along with cumulative trauma disorders. A great deal of workers’ compensation claims are due to poor flexibility, posture, and body mechanics. In many instances, correcting an individual’s faulty posture and body mechanics can prevent musculoskeletal injuries.
Our second objective is to avoid costly and unnecessary physician and emergency room visits. In most cases, after our initial evaluation, we can take care of injuries in-house with education and simple home exercise programs, therefore eliminating the cost of a workers’ compensation claim for a minor injury such as a muscle strain.
Our third objective is to develop an alliance between ourselves, your company, and physicians with a good understanding of workers’ compensation problems.
Our fourth objective is to identify false claims of injury and malingering, which are both major contributors to the cost of workers’ compensation.
In certain industries, back and torso injuries account for over 60% of all worker’s compensation claims. This class teaches basic anatomy and physiology, risk factors, proper lifting techniques, stretches, and back care tips.
